What is the most easy way to remove paints from the wall before applying tiles during renovation?
I an into tiling works and have been having this problem of how to clean an already painted walls so that the cement would gun on the real wall.
I have been using human energy by scratching the wall with hammer, which is very very difficult for me; some times my hands would swell up and peel.
Please, is there any better idea for an easy way??
Best solution. Remove the drywall where the tile will be and replace with 1/2″ cement board (Durock). That provides a much better base for tile. Trying to remove paint from a wall is futile. Hope this helps.
